Moonshot

Welcome back to the 3.2.1. Blog! 🚀 As we gear up for a brand-new year, it's the perfect time to hit the pause button, reflect, and map out your moonshot. This is Silicon Valley's bread and butter—thinking big and making the impossible inevitable.

Fact:

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy stood before the nation at Rice University and declared, "We choose to go to the moon in this decade." That wasn't just a goal—it was a mission. A moonshot.

He didn't have the blueprints, but he had the vision and the audacity to rally an entire nation to believe and act. That's the kind of mindset we're talking about: aligning your team to something transformative, something worth the grind and the risk.

Why Missions Matter?

Your mission is the secret sauce that turns your team from least mode to beast mode. It's not just about profits—they're the byproduct, not the fuel. A strong mission is what lights the fire, what inspires bold moves and relentless focus.

A transformational mission is what sets the pace for real innovation and impact.

Below, I share 3 ideas, 2 quotes, and 1 question to help you define your moonshot:

3 Ideas

I. The 5-Year Goal

What's your moonshot? What's the bold, almost impossible idea that fires you up and could define your company for the next decade?

Think of it as your North Star.

What do you want to be known for? Who do you want to serve? What kind of team will you need to pull this off?

II. The 1-Year Goal

Zoom in. What are the three most critical capabilities or milestones your company needs to nail this year to stay on track for that five-year vision? These are your non-negotiables for the next 12 months.

III. The 30-Day Plan

Break it down. What do you and your team need to do right now to move the needle? Focus on actionable steps for the next 30 days that ladder up to your one-year plan. Build momentum, one win at a time.

2 Quotes

I.

"We always overestimate the change that will occur in the next two years and underestimate the change that will occur in the next ten."

— Bill Gates, Co-Founder of Microsoft

II.

"Cherish your vision and your dreams as they are the children of your soul, the blueprints of your ultimate achievements."

— Napoleon Hill, Author of "Think and Grow Rich"

1 Question

What are your goals for 2025, and how will you measure success?

More importantly, what can you achieve in the next 30 days to make that vision real?

This is your moment—make it count.
